This is the bid bond cover page that accompanies the bid bond. Once the bid bond is filled out by the agent or surety, this cover page lets the contractor know exactly which bid bond this is as well as all of the other important information relating to the bid bond. The rate class box reminds the contractor of their rates with the surety in case they get awarded the project. The lower half of the page asks the contractor to make sure the bid bond is filled out correctly to avoid an issue later on bidding day. The agent or surety has done their best to fill out the bid bond, but there may be the occasional mistake that should be found early before complications arise.
